There are also restaurants and outdoor terraces nearby where you can stop for a meal, making Bran somewhere to spend a few hours beyond the castle itself.

Around Halloween, Bran Castle takes on a different atmosphere, with themed decorations, costumed characters and special visits. Events can also include parties lasting late into the night. Experiences and admission conditions vary by event and ticket, so check the official programme before planning your trip. If you are attending a party, arrange your pickup time in advance to match when you would like to leave.

Bran is also a place to stay for a few days, with hotels and guesthouses both near the castle and in the surrounding countryside. You can combine your visit with walks through the villages around Bran and Moieciu, traditional Romanian food and time in the mountains. The castle is also within easy reach for a day visit if you are staying in Râșnov, Brașov or another nearby town or village, without having to change accommodation.
